Fields of Dreams Uganda believes that the power of sports in a child’s life can make a lasting impact. Our trained staff teach the game of soccer to thousands of children each year, but more importantly we work at shaping the person inside the player. Our work supports the following:

 

• Professional coaching for girls and boys in Central and Northern Uganda

• Annual FoDU Championship tournaments

• Soccer gear to equip boys and girls at our partner schools

• Identification of talented students in order to connect them to secondary schools via scholarships

• Referee and coaching clinics for interested students

• Cultural exposure through travel opportunities

• Character development and teamwork through the facilitation of our Men of INTEGRITY and Women of SUBSTANCE training

• Friendly matches in the community — including peer-to-peer instruction on issues of character and integrity

• Improvements to school fields and goals when possible
