Education is a lifeline to children in emerging countries, especially in Uganda, a nation in which two thirds of the population does not finish primary education. Fields of Dreams Uganda is committed to investing in the education of the children we serve. For the thousands of vulnerable children at our partner schools, we devote countless hours inspiring, training, and preparing them for their futures. Our work supports the following:

  • Tuition assistance to students enrolled in our Ekisa Scholarship Program that extends to secondary, vocational and university students
  • Technology equipment and training, including laptops, projectors and internet access
  • Hygiene kits for all mature male and female students at teachers at all partner schools each year
  • Music, Dance, and Drama festivals and specialized training and support for all partner schools
  • Interschool debates and quizzes
  • Primary Leaving Exam (PLE) test preparations
  • Infrastructure improvements at partner schools working in conjunction with the local communities where we serve
  • Administration of DREAMS plans to assist children with recognizing and achieving their future goals
  • Leadership development workshops
  • Study tours across Uganda to expose children to the world beyond their village
  • Feeding program development with local partners
  • Teacher workshops and support from local facilitators
  • Essay competitoins based on FoDU's annual themes
